Multivariate Testing

Multivariate testing (MVT) is a website testing methodology that simultaneously tests multiple page element variations in combination to identify which combination produces the best conversion rate. Unlike A/B testing (two versions of a single element), MVT tests multiple elements at once and identifies interaction effects between changes.

In multivariate testing, multiple page elements are varied simultaneously to find the optimal combination. Example: testing two hero headlines × two CTA button colours × two trust badge positions = 8 combinations (2×2×2).
